Looking for work

This website offers a means for applicants to secure information about the 800 Group, our partners and the many opportunities we have for you to work with us.

There are lots of ways to get involved with the work we do and make a positive difference to people’s lives, whether it be in a voluntary, paid, self employed or work placement capacity.

Our aim is to make it easier for you to successfully submit an application for one of our current vacancies. Applicants can view all available opportunities or search by a specific category type (e.g. Voluntary Work with Children or Paid Work with Vulnerable Adults).

Throughout the recruitment pages, you will find:

- Supporting documentation within each advert containing a post description, terms and specification to enable you to match your skills and experience with the recruiter’s requirements.

- Guidance on how to apply for each post, as some recruiter’s may require you to complete the online application form and others may request that you visit their website direct.

- Useful contact information should you require assistance throughout the recruitment process (e.g. a reasonable adjustment request or checking the progress of your application). Each recruiter will also have a policy relating to Equality which aims to eliminate discrimination in employment.

- Signposts to relevant training, volunteer pathways or recruitment events, should you wish to gain experience and skills to assist you in your future career aspirations.

We understand and value the benefits that having a diverse workforce with varied backgrounds can bring to our services, especially for those who work with people with a variety of needs.

On this website, you will find vacancies within social care and third sectors. However, we advertise a range of positions from Health and Social Care roles to other areas of expertise such as Administration, HR and Maintenance – all of which support the smooth delivery of these services.

Roles may involve working in the community, being based in an office environment or even working from your own home. So, whether it is voluntary or paid work, full time or part time, managerial or support, working with children or adults…we may have what you’re looking for!
